We were invited back to direct the after trailer for the Las Vegas edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival. We chose to capture this festival in 5k on Red Epics in an effort to demonstrate the beauty of the festival. Festivals like this are why we do what we do and it is an amazing feeling to be a part of this event.
In direct support for Tiesto, Porter Robinson toured California for the final 6 stops of the 2011 College Invasion Tour.
Anticipating great shows in California, Aaron and Neil from Slush Management invited Eyewax along to document the last 6 shows of the tour. I had just gotten off a tour bus with Kaskade a couple weeks before and I settled back into bus life well. The shows were all amazing including a standout unannounced house party in the college area of Santa Barbara.
The video was released in two phases. Upon completing the video, we pitched a teaser to Porter’s management showing some footage from the unannounced show. In order to drive some more hype and attention to the full length piece, we released the teaser two weeks prior and linked them together on the release date.
Both pieces features music from Porter Robinson’s debut artist album ‘Spitfire’ released on Skrillex’s label ‘OWSLA’
Here is the teaser:
Being the first year that EDC was held in Las Vegas made it an amazingly unique moment in our scene’s evolution to be a part of. Our concept was to highlight a bit of the journey to EDC that many fans and artists made as well as the experience they were greeted with when they arrived.
An album trailer for Kaskade’s new album ‘Fire & Ice’
The trailer was created for play before the Electric Daisy Carnival Experience Documentary in theaters nationwide.
The footage was taken from our travels over the last year or so with Kaskade.
A short tour documentary for American house music Dj & Producer Kaskade of his 2011 Brazil Tour. The tour took place in March and consisted of a grueling 6 shows in 6 days during Brazil’s annual Carnaval.
Our goal was to show the flavor of Brazil whilst highlighting the travel aspect of the tour and to show Kaskade’s large US fanbase the support he has abroad.
For this video we integrated the social media component, featuring selected tweets & facebooks from the artist and his fans, hoping to increase his already massive fanbase.
The folks over at Insomniac Events (www.insomniac.com) asked us to come out and document another of their amazing shows in California. Not just a name for a festival, Beyond Wonderland has a magical theme from top to bottom from art installations, characters, and even the attendees. The show was incredible and being a part of it was another amazing experience.
A short tour documentary for American house music Dj/Producer Kaskade of his 2011 Australia Tour. The tour took place in January (summertime for the Aussies) and consisted of four shows in five days including Australia Day.
Kaskade’s goals for the video were to keep the video short and engaging while highlighting the travel aspect of the tour and to show his large US fanbase the support he has abroad. All the while building the hype for a couple of the songs included in the video that were yet to be released.
The trailer for Skrillex and Tommy Lee & Aero’s Project Blue Book Tour taking off February 2011.
Skrillex’s Manager, Tim, got in touch after seeing a video we did for fun of Skrillex live at Reset Festival in San Diego (video HERE).
His goal was to put together a video giving fans a preview of what to expect at the upcoming Project Blue Book Tour stops. Their idea was to collect fan videos from across the web and integrate them with footage we shot at their show, add in their tour graphics, and edit a piece for them to promote on the web.
The third of a series of videos we are producing for Insomniac Events’ shows at the Hollywood Palladium.
The Enhanced Concert Series is a run of events showcasing some of the biggest EDM acts in the world. Insomniac CEO, Pasquale, asked us to create a video at each one that they could release prior to the next show to build the hype. The venue has a massive dance floor as well as four bars and a large VIP area over the dancefloor. He wanted to communicate that there is room at these events for the wild kids on the dance floor as well as the VIP bottle service crowd…all while showing the over the top energy of the LA dance scene.
The Identity Festival asked us to create a studio interview and promotion for the upcoming Identity Festival Tour with their headliner Kaskade. We headed to his new studio in Santa Monica and talked about the upcoming summer tour and what to expect along the way.
Eyewax recently shot a small batch of press photos for our good friend Dj/Producer JeffT. Jeff T is an ultra talented producer based out of Los Angeles. He’s produced tracks for heavy hitting labels such as Instereo, Eden, Shush Music and Interscope Records.

A recap of Kaskade’s sold out show at the historic Warfield Theatre on Market Street in San Francisco, CA. Having gotten his start in San Francisco, Kaskade’s following in the city is huge. The show sold out weeks in advance and the line was down and around the block. The enthusiasm from the crowd was through the roof and the show was crazy fun.

A short video documenting Reset Events’ Abstract Festival in San Diego.
Reset’s owner, Bryan, wanted a video to show as a thank you to fans that attended as well as to show those who didn’t what they missed.
He also wanted to showcase what his company is doing for the scene in San Diego. If you’re a dance music fan, more than likely you’re making the 2.5 hour drive to Los Angeles to catch the big festivals. Bryan wants his fans to know that Reset Events is making it easier for them to see their favorite acts right in beautiful San Diego.
